Founded in 2021 in Alicante by Germán Agulló (then just 19 years old) GDV’s CEO and Óscar Bárcenas with a long experience in e-mobility word, GDV’s Product Manager (PM), GDV has grown in just four years from a small battery repair workshop in the Carolinas district, Alicante city, providing aftersales service for electric mobility, to the largest lithium-ion battery end waste management and remanufacturing centre in Spain.

At just 24 years old, Germán Agulló inaugurated Europe’s first circular battery gigafactory in Alicante, aiming to lead sustainable electric accumulator production for renewable energy producers and industrial clients, as well as remanufacturing batteries for electric vehicle manufacturers.

With the innovative “Circular Factory” model, GDV integrates the 3R-based recycling system (Re·Factory, Re·Use, Re·Cycling) to ensure every battery and component achieves the maximum possible lifespan.
